- Danjong Cultural Festival
- The sixth king Danjong (1441∼1457) who main character of the saddest history among 500 years of Joseon dynasty rose to the throne at a young age of 12, got his throne seized by his uncle Suyangdaegun (King Sejo), exiled to Cheongryeongpo of Yeongwol County and received poison at Gwanpunghun when he was 17 to end the springtime of his life.

- Donggang Festival
- Donggang River is a beautiful place where people and nature are together. At this beautiful place, a summer festival where people and nature get along together is held. A small concert is performed for five days as the tourists and residents gather in front of Yeongwol Town Fountain as the leisure sports events such as hang/paragliding, rollerblading, MTB, rafting and hot air balloon held with nature as stage continue.

- Donggang Photography Festival
- At Yeongwol County, the Donggang Photography Village was announced for the first time in Goryeo to become the center of domestic Photography culture. Afterwards, the Donggang Photography Village Operation Committee led privately has been established and the Donggang Photography Village Festival has been held at Yeongwol County every summer since 2002.

- Yeongwol is the region where the soul of a great poet for humor and sarcasm had passed away.
Every October at the Norumok Village of Hadong Township where his tomb is, his life and the world of poem is newly highlighted as the memorial festival, memorial exorcism dance, memorial performance and essay contest are held in various ways.
